Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.

Returned items must be in original packaging with all included materials, in new condition and must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice. Please contact us for a return authorization. Returns without prior authorization will not be accepted. We reserve the right to assess fees or refuse refunds on items that are returned opened, with missing parts, or any other condition that makes it difficult to resell.   Certain items may not be returned. These include, but are not limited to

 

Electronics

Software/chips

Custom canvas

Cut goods (chain, lines, hoses, etc.)

Custom gauges

Special order items

Ignition components

Inflatable boats

 

 

 

 

 

We may charge a restocking fee at our discretion. Some manufacturers will also not permit returns or may charge a restocking fee. It’s always best to be certain of your part numbers before ordering. Contact us prior to ordering if you are unsure of the item’s suitability for your application. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

 
 

Shipping

In-stock items will typically be shipped the next business day. Orders for multiple items may ship from multiple warehouses. International shipments will be consolidated prior to shipment which may add 2 to 7 days to the shipping date. Delivery for all orders will depend on the carrier and method of delivery chosen.

Many products such as solvents, paints, liquids under pressure and hazardous chemicals cannot be shipped internationally.   If not in the US and you have a need for these products, please contact us to see if we have established ocean freight transport to your country and what the schedule might be. Shipping of hazardous chemicals to the lower 48 US states will be by ground transportation only and will incur additional fees.

Certain items with military uses such as FLIR cameras are strictly controlled for export and require considerably more paperwork which will incur additional fees for processing US Government approvals as well as additional time to ship.  Depending on the destination country, export may not be possible.  We will contact you with the additional shipping costs for approval prior to processing your order.

Large or heavy items may require shipping quotes from common carriers or freight forwarders for overseas shipping prior to shipment. We will always contact you for approval once the quote has been received.

All orders are inspected prior to shipment. Our responsibility for damage during packing or shipment ends when the parcel is delivered to the shipping company. Orders should be inspected on receipt and any obvious damage to packaging noted (a digital photo is probably helpful) on the delivery receipt. Keep all packaging as it may be helpful in pursuing a claim. If damage appears to be significant, refuse delivery. Most shipping companies require claims be made within 10 days of receipt. Orders for high-value goods should be insured against loss or damage.   We require a signature on receipt for all orders valued over $100.

 

Real Time Shipping Quotes:

The online, real-time shipping calculator assumes orders for more than one product are shipped in separate boxes.  Frequently, ordered goods are consolated prior to shipment and will incur lower shipping fees than those quoted by the automated system.  Should we be able to consolidate your shipment and obtain lower costs for the same level of service selected, your will be refunded the excess.  

The services presented for selection may also not be appropriate for the goods ordered.  For instance, just because an item has a low weight, doesn't mean it would be best shipped in a padded envelope.  If the packaging and service you've selected is a lower cost than what we can safely pack and ship, you will be contacted to authorize the higher shipping costs associated with appropriate packaging.  

 

Backorders:

If an item is subject to a delay, a Global Marine Parts Customer Service Representative will notify you. We will not charge you for the item(s) until shipped, with the exception of Special Orders and items shipped directly from the manufacturer.
